We are the Ancient Path Coven. To some this may sound different or even scary. The word coven conjures up ideas of green-faced witches laughing over a bubbling cauldron as they prepare to sacrifice an animal to the devil! That is scary! Fortunately, that isn't us. Coven is actually an early version of the word convent, such as a group if nuns. We don't sacrifice any living creature and we certainly don't worship the devil.
We are followers of an old religion that have banded together to practice and worship together, just like a church, except we're not Christians.
We are a nature religion. That means we believe every natural thing has a spirit (all humans, animals, plants, stones, rivers, etc.) and those spirits should be honored. We believe in the transmigration of souls, which most people know as reincarnation. We don't believe in a devil so we certainly don't worship one. We believe in kindness, justice, love, honor, and doing good to all creatures of the gods.
We are always open to explain some of these beliefs to those who are truly interested. If you have any questions, feel free to send an e-mail to [email protected] and I will try to respond to you as soon as I can.
